Pelvic Floor and Singing
Unearth the deeper colors of your voice
Online Workshop - November 16

Most singers have a vague idea that the pelvic region is important for singing, but without a clear understanding of what this area is or how it functions in singing you’re missing out on a crucial component of your vocal anatomy.

So much of our experiences as singers and as humans actually takes us away from our bodies - especially the pelvic region. This is an area with so much taboo and icky connotations we don’t have a lot of awareness of it. It’s not included in vocal anatomy, pedagogy or even most voice lessons… and when it is, it’s vague and unuseful.

The reality is, so many singers struggle with tension, fatigue, high notes, lack of volume and inconsistent breath support, but they’re missing a key piece of singing anatomy that can resolve these issues.

The Pelvic Floor

What is the pelvic floor? Where is it? How does it function? And what the heck does it have to do with singing?

First and foremost, these muscles are respiratory muscles. These are muscles that are directly tied to your vocal mechanism. When they aren’t functioning correctly you can experience vocal tension, difficulty with high notes, jaw tightness, tongue tension, shallow breathing, and more.
It’s shocking to me that this isn’t part of vocal anatomy courses! The good news is it doesn’t actually take that much effort to start using your pelvic floor correctly. With a little bit of knowledge and awareness of how these muscles work you can overcome so many issues that plague singers.

In this workshop, you will embark on a comprehensive exploration of these often-overlooked muscles, gain insights into their anatomy and function, experience and awaken the deepest parts of your body, and learn how to incorporate this into your singing.

This informative session includes approximately 45 minutes of educational material followed by 45 minutes of live coaching and interactive Q&A. You get to experience and witness the transformational benefits of connecting with the fullness of the human body.

In addition to the workshop, you get a private 30-minute integration session with Madison to personalize this application to your specific needs. Plus, you will have access to the workshop recording in perpetuity so you can revisit and reinforce your learning again and again.
