You may have a vague idea that the pelvic region is important for singing, but without a clear understanding how these muscles function in singing you’re missing out on a crucial component of your vocal anatomy.

First and foremost, these muscles are respiratory muscles. These are muscles that are directly tied to your vocal mechanism. When they aren’t functioning correctly you can experience vocal tension, difficulty with high notes, jaw tightness, tongue tension, shallow breathing, and more.

It’s shocking to me that this isn’t part of vocal anatomy courses!
